This series of photographs explores what is reflected in my rearview mirror. As many moms do, I would spend a lot of time driving my kids from one activity to another. As I rarely travel without it, I usually had my camera with me. I started photographing the kids in the backseat in their secret world when they were not aware I was observing. The mirror became a frame for the subject inside. I began to shoot through the other rearview mirrors in the car whatever caught my eye. The result is a compelling look at something we all see but don’t really notice out of our peripheral vision.
