Mary Anne Mitchell is a fine art photographer working primarily in black and white with analog processes.
Her photographic practice centers on the transformative power of analog techniques to capture and construct narratives that transcend reality. Working with film and traditional processes such as wet plate collodion, she creates images that evoke a sense of the ethereal, the mysterious and the sublime. The work explores themes of memory, family, and the passage of time, often presenting subjects in surreal or dreamlike landscapes. The resulting images act as a portal into a curious and ambiguous world, inviting the viewer to engage with an unfolding story.
Mary Anne’s work has been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions across the country and in Europe. Her work can be found in private and corporate collections across the US, Dubai, Taiwan, and Canada. She lives in Atlanta, GA. The work is available for purchase and exhibition.
